Lung growth and development

Lung growth and development is complex and occurs throughout fetal life and into childhood. We work to reduce poor lung development because of potentially preventable prenatal or early childhood insults (e.g. tobacco exposure, malnutrition) and thus avoid respiratory symptoms and functional limitation later in life.
